Jill Gibson was named to Mass Transit’s 2023 40 Under 40 list, a recognition given to the top young individuals striving to make an impact in the public transit industry. Jill was recognized for her notable work in capital planning development, project delivery, community engagement, and her commitment to leading numerous rail projects and high-capacity transit planning efforts.
As a transit practice leader at Kimley-Horn, Jill uses her relational skills to bring stakeholders together to identify transit solutions. Her solutions enhance multimodal mobility and have strengthened transit network plans for diverse communities by incorporating local and regional priorities. In addition to spearheading projects and programs for planning commissions, city councils, and government agencies, Jill is committed to maintaining an environment where her teammates can flourish in their careers.
Jill is an active member of several transportation associations. She is currently an active member of the American Public Transportation Association, where she advocates for the modernization of mobility to help build thriving communities. Jill served as a member of Mpact for five years—during this time, she planned and presented at the annual Transit and Community Development Conference, which emphasized the importance of more livable, equitable, and sustainable communities through major transit investments.
