Kimley-Horn prepared design of changeable message signs, travel time management system cameras, CCTV cameras, and Sensys detection devices at key locations to augment the Port’s safety and security program. The firm was responsible for all design aspects associated with the various devices including installation of a new conduit system, wireless communications, and the replacement of existing traffic signal poles and associated equipment. Each of the deployed device locations were designed to communicate wirelessly to the Port’s central security system. Services provided: conceptual design, technical analyses, PS&E of field elements, communications infrastructure, on-call support services.
